Click2Gov Data Breaches Lead to Exodus By Cities

Cities, including Bend, Oregon and College Station, Texas, are ditching payment platform Click2Gov following successive waves of data breaches. So reports StateScoop.

auto 1347494 640smallClick2Gov, which many local governments use for parking tickets and other municipal fees, suffered a rash of data breaches in 2017 and 2018, and breaches returned last year to such cities as Ames, Iowa and Bakersfield, Calif.

Bend is moving from Click2Gov to a new payment system, InvoiceCloud, while College Station has inked a deal with another rival, Paymentus.
