Ticketmaster Faces $6.5M Data Breach Suit

A UK law firm has sued Ticketmaster for £5 million ($6.6 million) over a data breach revealed last June. So reports Billboard.

The claim issued by Hayes Connor Solicitors in British court involves more than 650 people, out of 40,000 believed to be affected by the breach. The law firm said it filed legal action against the Live Nation subsidiary “following unsuccessful negotiations with Ticketmaster which maintains that it is not liable for the data breach and the subsequent damages suffered by its customers.”
