Homeland Security Chief’s Exit Raises Cybersecurity Questions

The sudden departure of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen could undermine the department’s efforts to safeguard against cybersecurity threats, ex-agency officials, advocates and lobbyists have said. So reports Bloomberg.

During Nielsen’s 16 months leading the DHS, she drew praise from cybersecurity experts for making the issue a top priority. It’s unclear whether her replacement will share her focus on cyber risks, observers say.
