Wyden Urges Inquiry Into Microsoft Data Breach  

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) has called on the Justice Department, the Federal Trade Commission and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to investigate Microsoft’s handling of cybersecurity. So reports Axios.

ron wydenWyden urged the agencies’ heads to “hold Microsoft responsible for its negligent cybersecurity practices” following the company’s recent disclosure that ​​China-based hackers had accessed several U.S. government email accounts.

In a letter, Wyden wrote, “Even with the limited details that have been made public so far, Microsoft bears significant responsibility for this new incident.”
