Paramount Reveals Breach Exposing Social Security Numbers

Paramount Global has begun notifying people that their personally identifiable information was exposed to hackers in a data breach earlier this year. So reports Bleeping Computer.

Paramount“Based on our investigation, the personal information may have included your name, date of birth, Social Security number or other government-issued identification number (such as driver’s license number or passport number) and information related to your relationship with Paramount,” the entertainment giant said in breach notification letters.

While the company has yet to specify whether the affected individuals were employees, customers or both, a spokesperson told Bleeping Computer that the breach was limited to fewer than 100 people.
