U.S. Steps Up Pipeline Cyber Rules After Ransomware Attack

The U.S. government has issued new requirements meant to improve the cybersecurity of vital pipelines after Colonial Pipeline was recently hobbled by ransomware. So reports The Hill.

The latest measure requires pipeline owners and operators to reassess their cybersecurity plans, to take certain steps to defend against ransomware attacks and to draw up recovery plans.
