Scripps Health Notifies 147,000 of Ransomware Data Breach

Scripps Health has divulged that it has started informing 147,267 people that hackers stole their personal details in a May 1 ransomware attack. So reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.

ScrippsThe health giant said that almost 3,700 of those individuals, or 2.5%, suffered the theft of their Social Security numbers, their driver’s license numbers or both.

Scripps said its inquiry into the attack, which disrupted operations for almost an entire month, is continuing, and that some of the stolen data has yet to be identified.
