Geico Data Breach Exposed Customers’ Drivers License Numbers

Geico has disclosed that a data breach earlier this year that lasted more than a month compromised customers’ drivers license numbers. So reports The Verge.

geicoIn a filing with the California attorney general, the insurance company also said it had repaired the security gap that allowed the breach.

“We have reason to believe that this information could be used to fraudulently apply for unemployment benefits in your name," the notice states.
