Facebook Fights $12M in Fees Over 2018 Cyberattack

Facebook has hit back at opposing attorneys’ bid for almost $12 million in fees and costs in a settlement over a 2018 security incident. So reports Reuters.

facebook 2429746 640 smallFacebook’s lawyers said in a court filing that the request for attorneys’ fees was “not supported by law.”

Under the settlement, which got preliminary approval in November, Facebook agreed to external oversight of certain security promises, in the wake of a cyberattack affecting millions of users.
