Therapy Patients Blackmailed After Finland Hack

Tens of thousands of Finnish therapy patients have been facing a blackmail attempt after a hacker stole medical records from their sessions. So reports Politico.

email 3249062 640 smallPolice said that the unknown hacker or hackers had begun emailing more than 40,000 patients, including some who are underage, and threatening to post their records online if they do not receive bitcoin payment.

Finland’s prime minister called the hack “shocking” and said the government was working to help.
