Ireland’s Watchdog Faulted for Allowing All-time Biggest Breach

A data privacy advocate has slammed Ireland’s Data Protection Commission for failing to take action over the “biggest data breach of all time.” So reports TechCrunch.

ireland 162323 640The Irish Council for Civil Liberties has submitted a dossier of evidence in its two-year-old complaint that the process for real-time bidding used by companies like Google to sell online advertising information constitutes a massive privacy breach.

Google said that its real-time bidding process is subject to strict privacy guidelines. “We do not allow advertisers to select ads based on sensitive personal data and we do not share people’s sensitive personal data, browsing histories or profiles with advertisers,” the search giant said.
