GoDaddy Confirms Data Breach Affecting 28,000 Customers

GoDaddy has acknowledged that a data breach potentially exposed usernames and passwords for roughly 28,000 of its 19 million customers. So reports Bloomberg.

cyber 2120014 640smallA GoDaddy spokesperson said that the domain registration discovered a security incident on April 17 that went back to October.

The credentials were used only for accessing remotely hosted servers, not customers’ main GoDaddy accounts, according to the company.
