Australia Sues Facebook Over Data Privacy

Australia’s privacy regulator has sued Facebook over the Cambridge Analytica data breach. So reports The Hill.

Facebook was ordered to pay $5 billion in a 2019 settlement with U.S. antitrust authorities over the incident, in which political consulting group Cambridge Analytica harvested the data of roughly 50 million Facebook users without their permission.
