Facial Recognition Software Maker Clearview AI Admits Breach

Clearview AI, a controversial New York-based facial recognition software vendor whose clients mainly include law enforcement agencies, has disclosed a data breach exposing its entire database. So reports UPI.

flat 3252983 640smallThe company, which has a database of three billion photos compiled from social media, told clients that an unauthorized third party accessed its client list, their number of user accounts and their number of searches.

The company clarified that its servers themselves were not breached, nor its systems or network, and said the security flaw have been fixed. Clients’ search histories weren’t exposed, Clearview AI said.
