State Dept. Probe of Clinton Emails Finds No Deliberate Miscues

A U.S. State Department investigation into emails sent through former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s personal computer system determined that department employees did not intentionally mishandle classified information, according to a document the agency recently gave to Congress. So reports The Washington Post.

State Department investigators reviewed about 33,000 emails sent to or from Clinton’s private computer servers and concluded that 38 employees, current and former, were “culpable” for breaches of security procedures. None of the violations related to classified information. Clinton has cited widespread criticism over her use of the server as playing a key role in her 2016 presidential election defeat.
