Los Angeles Partners with IBM on Cybersecurity

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has unveiled a partnership with IBM to protect the city against cyber attacks. So reports Fox Business.

Garcetti and Wendi Whitmore, a vice president with IBM’s X-Force threat intelligence unit, said the company is setting up a system called the LA Cyber Threat Intelligence Sharing Platform, or TISP, which will include a free app that citizens can use to check for phishing emails.

According to IBM, there have been more than 70 incidents of cybercrimes in major U.S. cities this year.
