U.S. Treasury Hits North Korean Hackers with Sanctions

The U.S. Treasury Department has sanctioned three North Korean state-backed hacking groups, which allegedly conduct cyber attacks to finance the country’s weapons programs. So reports CNN.

U.S. officials specifically named a group known as the Lazarus Group and two of its affiliates, Bluenoroff and Andarial. The Lazarus Group reportedly took part in the WannaCry 2.0 ransomware incident two years ago.
