Canadian Intelligence Official Charged with Sharing Secrets

Canadian authorities have charged Cameron Ortis, a top intelligence official with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, with offenses related to passing along sensitive information. So reports CNN.

Ortis faces multiple charges under Canada’s Security of Information Act, as well as criminal charges of breach of trust and unauthorized use of a computer. Ortis had access to secret information from domestic intelligence and international allies, RCMP Commissioner Brenda Lucki confirmed in a TV interview.
