Ransomware Attack Hits 22 Local Governments in Texas

An apparently coordinated ransomware attack has crippled at least 22 local and city governments in Texas. So reports CNN.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security were helping the Texas Department of Information Resources address the attack, which the state agency said was likely the work of a “single threat actor.” Ransomware attacks on cities and local governments have been increasing since 2017, including attacks this year on larger cities such as Baltimore.
