2019 on Pace to Be Worst Year Ever for Data Breaches

Midway through 2019, data breaches were on track to end the year at a new all-time high. So reports 24/7 Wall Street.

More than 3,800 data breaches were announced in the first half of 2019, up 54% from a year earlier, according to research firm Risk Based Security’s 2019 Midyear Quickview Data Breach Report. Those breaches exposed more than 4.1 billion records, up 52%.
