EU to Take Aim at Cybersecurity Failures

The European Union is getting ready to shore up the bloc’s cybersecurity following a leak of diplomatic cables, the alleged hacking of the EU mission in Moscow and other breaches. So reports The Financial Times.

A recent meeting of EU leaders was set to urge a tougher approach to protecting data and communications systems, diplomats said. “In a world where the EU and its member states are under constant attack in cyber space . . . we need to be a bit more savvy and a bit more secure,” one senior diplomat told the FT.
