Microsoft Touts Cybersecurity Tools for Other Companies' Clouds  

Microsoft’s new security chief, Charlie Bell, has touted as crucial the company’s effort to bring its cybersecurity services to the clouds of other companies. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

microsoft 80658 640smallMicrosoft, the second-biggest U.S. provider of cloud-computing services, recently began rolling out an easier way to use its security tools on rival Google’s cloud and previously launched compatibility with Amazon’s cloud.

Bell, who joined Microsoft after 23 years at Amazon, has called for shifting from what he describes as “digital medievalism,” where each company defends only itself, to “digital civilization” with common defense.
