Amazon Tells Workers to Delete TikTok, Then Backtracks

Amazon has gone back and forth in its stance on TikTok, owned by Beijing-based ByteDance, at a time when the popular mobile app is under scrutiny from the U.S. government. So reports CNBC.

TikTokAmazon sent an email to employees earlier this month requesting that they remove TikTok from their phones by July 10 due to unspecified “security concerns.”

An Amazon spokesperson later said the email was sent by mistake, adding, “There is no change to our policies right now with regard to TikTok.”
