National Student Clearinghouse Breach Hits Almost 900 Colleges  

The National Student Clearinghouse has revealed that its previously announced data breach as part of the MOVEit mass hacking affects 890 colleges and universities. So reports Bleeping Computer.

graduation 267885The higher-education nonprofit said in a filing with the Office of the California Attorney General that threat actors stole files containing birthdates, Social Security numbers and other personally identifiable information.

NSC said in a March filing with Maine’s attorney general that the breach potentially exposed more than 51,500 people.
