Microsoft Leaks 38 Terabytes of AI Researchers’ Data

Microsoft’s AI research division inadvertently left 38 terabytes of sensitive information accessible on the public Internet. So reports TechCrunch.

Security microsoft 80658 1280Discovered by cloud security startup Wiz, the cache included the backups of two Microsoft employees’ personal computers along with passwords, keys and internal messages.

The exposure apparently came about through a misconfigured URL in Microsoft AI researchers’ GitHub repository.
