U.S. Cyber Probe to Explore Microsoft’s Email Breach Role

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed that Microsoft’s cybersecurity defenses in a recent hack of government officials’ emails by suspected Chinese threat actors will be part of a U.S. cybersecurity advisory panel’s inquiry into attacks on cloud computing environments. So reports Bloomberg.

microsoft 80658 640smallDHS said that the Cyber Safety Review Board, set up by the Biden administration, will consider ways to improve identity management and authentication in the cloud.

Microsoft has been under the microscope for its cybersecurity capabilities since the email breach became known in July.
