Microsoft Disputes Alleged Breach of 30 Million Accounts  

Not long after acknowledging that a hacker group known as Anonymous Sudan was behind June service disruptions, Microsoft has poured cold water on the organization’s claim of a massive data breach. So reports Bleeping Computer.

microsoft 80658 640smallAnonymous Sudan, which has avowed links to pro-Russian hackers, claimed it “successfully hacked Microsoft” and “accessed a large database containing more than 30 million Microsoft accounts, emails and passwords.”

A Microsoft spokesperson denied any data breach claims and said the allegedly stolen data appeared to be “an aggregation.”
