Hackers Claim February Reddit Breach, Threaten Leak  

The BlackCat ransomware gang has claimed that it stole a trove of data from Reddit during a confirmed February cybersecurity incident—and has threatened to publish the data unless Reddit pays a ransom. So reports TechCrunch.

RedditAlso known as ALPHV, the ransomware organization made the claim, which purportedly involves 80 gigabytes of compressed data, on its dark web leak site.

A Reddit spokesperson declined to answer TechCrunch’s questions but confirmed that the hackers’ claims pertain to the February 8 incident.
