Rockstar Games Admits Grand Theft Auto 6 Breach

Take-Two Interactive Software’s Rockstar Games has acknowledged that a hacker stole files and videos for its hotly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 6, after dozens of purported video clips surfaced on the internet. So reports Dark Reading.

Take 2 InteractiveIn a regulatory filing, Take Two said, “Rockstar Games recently experienced a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from its systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto.”

Rival video game makers Electronic Arts and CD Projekt Red have also suffered damaging data breaches in recent years.
