Texas Data Breach Affects 1.8 Million People, State Auditor Says  

A state audit has determined that 1.8 million Texas workers who filed compensation claims with the Texas Department of Insurance had their personal information exposed. So reports The Texas Tribune.

Texas 1Information such as Social Security numbers, addresses, birthdates, phone numbers and details of workers’ injuries was publicly accessible online, the department said.

The exposure lasted from March 2019 to January 2022, according to the department.
