U.S. Government May Pay Cybersecurity Pros As Much As Veep  

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has launched a new cybersecurity recruiting and retention program, under which top cybersecurity pros could earn as much as the vice president. So reports ZDNet.

dollar 3706548 640smallDHS said that its Cybersecurity Talent Management System will first be used to fill roles at the department’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the DHS office of the chief information officer, expanding next year to cybersecurity jobs at other DHS agencies.

The upper salary limit in CTMS is typically the vice president’s salary, $255,800 in 2021, but in limited circumstances there is an extended range with a limit as high as $332,100.
