CoinMarketCap Says 3.1 Million Email Address Leak Wasn’t a Breach  

While a list of 3.1 email addresses that correspond with accounts on CoinMarketCap has been circulating, the cryptocurrency website has announced that it found “no trace of any security breach of our servers.” So reports BankInfoSecurity.

coinmarketcapCoinMarketCap said that the list, which doesn’t include passwords or other details, was compiled from previous batches of leaked data unrelated to it.

Wherever it came from, a list of email addresses for people who like crypto could help hackers with phishing attacks.
