State Department to Launch New Cyber Office  

The Biden administration plans a high-level cybersecurity push that includes setting up a new bureau for cyberspace and digital policy within the State Department. So reports CNN.

Tony BlinkenIn an email announcing the changes to the department’s staff, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wrote, “This structure will provide us with greater leadership and accountability to drive the diplomatic agenda with the interagency and abroad.”

A State Department spokesperson told CNN the new office will concentrate on international cybersecurity, international digital policy and digital freedom.
