Illinois Doctors Group Sued After Data Breach Affecting 600,000  

DuPage Medical Group faces a proposed class action lawsuit following a July cyberattack that it said may have exposed the personal data of 600,000 patients. So reports The Chicago Tribune.

doctor 1295583 640The lawsuit claims that the Illinois-based physicians’ group failed to adequately protect patients’ personal information or notify them soon enough.

DuPage Medical Group said in a statement, “We remain committed to information security, and although we are unaware at this time of any attempted or actual misuse of the information involved, we understand the concern that this potential access raises.”
