Restaurant Biz Landry’s Owes $20M Over Breach: Judge

Houston-based restaurant company Landry’s must pay Chase Bank $20 million to repay the costs of a 2015 data breach, a federal judge has ruled. So reports Houston Business Journal.

gavel 3576932 640smallChase and its Paymentech processing business sued in 2018 claiming that Landry’s breached contract by not reimbursing expenses incurred after the breach compromised customer credit card details.

Landry’s has appealed the ruling to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
