Between May 7 and May 9, scammers compromised a range of verified Twitter accounts and YouTube channels, shifted them to impersonate official Saturday Night Live accounts and then hawked bogus cryptocurrency giveaways, according to Tenable.
Tenable staff research engineer Satnam Narang estimates that scammers stole more than $9.4 million in Dogecoin, $609,000 Bitcoin and $423,000 Ethereum, according to a press release.
