Amazon Fake Reviews Scam Surfaces in Data Leak: Report

Researchers have uncovered a public database that allegedly includes the names of more than 200,000 people participating in an Amazon fake reviews scam. So reports ZDNet.com.

AmazonThe researchers, from the cybersecurity publishing group SafetyDetectives, said the server held about 7GB of data and more than 13 million records seemingly tied to phony product reviews.

Amazon has been in the midst of a back-and-forth against vendors willing to pay or offer freebies in exchange for positive reviews.
