SmileDirectClub Reveals Cyberattack

SmileDirectClub, a teeth-straightening retainer seller, has disclosed that an April cybersecurity incident affected operations and will hit sales. So reports The Wall Street Journal.

Smile Direct ClubA filing from SmileDirectClub reads, “The Company was able to successfully block the attack, no ransom was paid, and the Company’s systems and operations are back online and performing normally.”

The company said the cyberattack might interfere with parts of operations and reduce revenue by $10 million to $15 million.
