Hotel Booking Firm Exposes Data on Millions of Customers

A security flaw potentially exposed the personal information of more than 10 million hotel guests around the world. So reports the London Independent.

Prestige SoftwareSecurity researchers at web design firm Website Planet said that Prestige Software, which offers a booking platform used by sites like Expedia, Hotels.com and Booking.com, had left years worth of credit card information and other data exposed.

“We have taken measures to diligently react to this incident which, according to the information that we are managing right now, should actually have had very limited effects," a Prestige Software spokesperson told the London Independent.
