Community Health Systems to Pay $5M for 2014 Data Breach

Community Health Systems has agreed to pay $5 million in a data breach settlement with 28 state attorneys general. So reports Fierce Healthcare.

red cross 303433 640small The 2014 breach affected 6.1 million patients at the company’s affiliated hospitals.

CHS previously settled patients’ class action lawsuit for $3.1 million.
