Dunkin’ Donuts Parent to Pay Fine in Cybersecurity Settlement

The parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts has settled a lawsuit by New York’s attorney general alleging it failed to address cyber attacks affecting tens of thousands of customers’ online accounts. So reports Reuters.

donut 1139832 640Attorney General Letitia James said that Dunkin’ Donuts will pay $650,000 in fines and update its cybersecurity policies.

The company neither admitted nor denied wrongdoing.
