White House Launches Cybersecurity Protocol for Outer Space

The Trump administration has outlined a set of broad cybersecurity principles for technology used in outer space. So reports Politico.

White House administration 1846270 1920The policy directive from the White House recommends that satellites and other space-bound vehicles have the capacity for remote troubleshooting and security updates.

U.S. officials warned that space systems could be vulnerable to malware that “can deny, degrade, or disrupt space operations, or even destroy satellites.”
