Ex-Cisco Worker Pleads Guilty in Video Conference Hack

A former Cisco staffer has pleaded guilty to a hack that federal authorities say brought down 16,000 Webex Teams video-conferencing accounts for as long as two weeks. So reports Business Insider.

Cisco WebexSudish Kasaba Ramesh “admitted that he acted recklessly in deploying the code, and consciously disregarded the substantial risk that his conduct could [do] to Cisco,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the FBI.

Ramesh is due for a sentencing hearing in December.
