Macy’s Settles Lawsuit Over 2018 Data Breach

Macy’s has reached a settlement of up to $192,500, ending a proposed class action suit over a 2018 breach of customer information. So reports Footwear News.

macys store 719946 1280An Alabama federal judge gave the settlement his final approval in a case that alleged Macy’s did too little to keep client data safe.

The company agreed to reimburse customers up to $1,500 for documented expenses or lost time resulting from the data breach.
