EasyJet Flies Into $22B Class Action Over Data Breach

Lawyers have hit UK airline EasyJet with a class action lawsuit seeking up to £18 billion ($22 billion) over a data breach affecting 9 million customers. So reports ZDNet.

gdpr 3285252 1920EasyJet disclosed on May 19 that a “highly sophisticated” cyber attack might have compromised clients’ s email addresses and travel information, as well as more than 2,200 credit card records.

The suit, filed by law firm PMBGM in the High Court of London on behalf of customers, claims EasyJet violated the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
