U.S. Marshals Own Up to Prisoner Data Breach

The U.S. Marshals Service has notified 387,000 current and former prisoners that a data breach may have compromised their personal information. So reports TechCrunch.

jail 1287943 1280Names, addresses, birthdates and Social Security numbers may have been part of the breach, a letter to those affected said.

U.S. Marshals arrested more than 90,000 fugitives in 2019.
