Cyberattack Hobbles City of Pensacola, Fla.

The city of Pensacola, Florida, has seen its computer systems hobbled by a cyberattack, and authorities are investigating whether any personal information has been exposed. So reports the Pensacola News Journal.

Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson said at a weekly press conference that the cyberattack affected “our city network, including phones and email at City Hall and some of our other buildings.”

Robinson said it was unclear whether there was any link between the attack and a deadly shooting that occurred days earlier at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
