Instagram Adds Security Feature for Third-party Apps

Instagram has announced a new feature meant to help users set which third-party apps can access their account and what data those apps can access. So reports Mashable.

The move steps up Instagram’s security to more closely resemble the third-party controls of its parent company, Facebook. The change also arrives as Facebook has been culling third-party apps more broadly following its probes in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica affair.
