Healthcare Group Kaiser Permanente Suffers Data Breach

California healthcare company Kaiser Permanente has revealed that an unknown third party had access to the personal details of almost 1,000 Sacramento-area patients due to a data breach. So reports The Sacramento Bee.

Kaiser told members that the unauthorized party gained access to a Sacramento-area healthcare provider’s email account. Compromised patient information included medical history, diagnosis, service provided, date of birth and more.

Kaiser said the breach was fixed immediately upon discovery and that it did not have indications the information was seen or used.
