Tesla Key Fob Security Flaw is Revealed Again

Security researchers claim they have discovered a way to breach the encryption for a Tesla Model S’s key fob, which would let them clone the keys and steal the car. So reports Wired.

Speaking at the Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems conference in Atlanta, Lennert Wouters of Belgian university KU Leuven said Tesla was pushing out a software patch to address the research team’s finding. The same researchers found a similar flaw in the Model S’ keyless entry system two years ago.
